Exam Prep
Exam Prep/Review is a 4 or 8 week course designed for students who have previously been unsuccessful, and looking for the tips to become a successful CPC certified coder. With expert guidance, you will be guaranteed to increase your score by 15-20 points. Review courses use “Actual Mock CPC Exams” and AAPC related materials designed specifically for CPC National Exam success.
Tutoring Services
With over 20 years of knowledge/experience, Medical Coding is my “Second Language”. Tutoring services are provided by a talented instructor willing to break down the information in a way that will stick with you. Tutoring services are also provided for coders looking to attain additional advanced Medical Coding Certifications.
Skill Development
New coders looking to break into the coding industry without experience, will need to develop the necessary skills that will enable them to progress in their careers. Learn from an industry expert how to apply for jobs, develop interview etiquette, and how to pass the entrance exam for coding jobs. Having a “Coding Mentor” will help you navigate the industry.
AAPC Medical Coding Course for National Certification
24 week course includes:
- Anatomy and Physiology for Coders
- Curriculum will provide a comprehensive review of major body systems. This segment of course will provide students with immediate knowledge and increased proficiency in ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding. It will also focus on what coders need to know in order to use ICD-10-CM.
- ICD-10-CM
- Curriculum will provide an understanding and structure of ICD-10-CM coding structure. This segment of course will introduce to students how to interpret coding conventions and guidelines, and also teach steps to correct coding.
- CPT-4 and HCPCS Level II
- Curriculum will provide an introduction to CPT-4. This segment of course will provide students with an understanding of CPT-4 structure, format, modifiers and guidelines in a hospital outpatient setting. Students will learn the major sections found in CPT-4, apply modifiers correctly, interpret the information found in the guidelines and notes, and how to apply the steps to locate and assign correct CPT-4 and HCPCS Level II codes.
